What does it take to make a monastery?

Well, first you need some nuns. It doesn't take very many. Why even seven will do. That's how many we had when we came to the Netherlands in 1990.

Then you need a place to stay. This was our first

home in Elshout.  

It is a big help to have people who want you.

We have!

Monasteries can move. Ours did to Eindhoven in 1993.

Here we have a lovely, large garden in which to pray

and work.

Most essential is someone to be Mother and Abbess. 

Our public chapel allows our friends to share in our prayer and to adore Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
